So you’ve completed our Basic Skills Kayak class and are looking to take things to the next level. You want smooth paddle strokes, effective maneuvers, and graceful re-entries.

Sign up for Tumalo Creek’s Basic Skills Kayaking Level II, and practice the skills you need to become an intermediate paddler.

This class will be taught on Elk Lake where kayakers will experience  conditions like waves and shifting winds. Our expert instructors will also introduce trip planning and basic seasmanship for those looking to plan longer ocean adventures.

This class will only be offered on June 23, July 7, July 21, August 4 and August 18. Book now to save your spot!

Meet at the beach at Little Fawn Campground on Elk Lake at 10 a.m. For those who wish to carpool, meet at the shop at 9 a.m. We'll do a little land training and take a few breaks, but will be out on the water the majority of the time. Bring snacks and a lunch if you like, as lunch is NOT provided, however a cooler will be available to keep your food and drinks cool.

• Any personal gear you would like to use (pfd, paddle etc...)

Pickup/Departure

We will meet at the shop between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. to get fitted for additional gear (wetsuits, booties and splash Jackets) then depart from the shop at 9:15 to be at Elk Lake at 10 a.m.

Drop-Off

Return to the shop around 5 p.m.
