Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing water sport in the world and has recently exploded in popularity in Central Oregon. If you are new to the sport, or looking to fine-tune your skills, this is the class for you.
We will start the class out in our beautiful outdoor classroom on the back lawn where we will discuss appropriate gear, different types of boards and water safety. We will then move on to stroke technique and different methods for balancing on the board and turning.
For the next part of class we will move out onto the Deschutes River and put our new skills to the test.
To ensure you have the best possible learning experience, we do not take online reservations within 24 hours of the class. Please call the shop, as there are often spaces open last minute: 541.317.9407
Meet at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe ten minutes before your class to sign paperwork. We'll give a breif introduction to the sport on the back lawn of the shop before paddling the Deschutes for a few hours.
